About straesser

The straesser Group, consisting of straesser automotive testing GmbH, straesser fahrversuche GmbH, and straesser beratung und dienstleistung GmbH, stands for over 15 years of experience as a service provider in the automotive sector. Headquartered in Kernen near Stuttgart, Germany, we employ over 280 professionals. Our customers include a large number of well-known automobile manufacturers, automotive suppliers, and development and engineering service providers. Seven days a week, 24 hours a day, we conduct driving tests for our customers throughout the world.

Locations of the ATESTEO Group

The engineers and test drivers of straesser are where our customers need them to be. Besides temporary facilities all over the world, such as those in Australia, South Africa, the USA, or Japan, we test throughout Germany at permanent sites where the development of automobiles takes place.

Our history

Today

The company has developed into today’s full-service provider in vehicle testing. We carry out projects around the globe with different technical focal points for automobile manufacturers, engineering service providers, and suppliers.

Acquisition 2017

With the acquisition of the majority stake by the ATESTEO Group in 2017, straesser was able to extensively enlarge its range of services and is now part of IHO Holding GmbH & Co. KG.

Foundation 2002

Since 2002, straesser has worked for the international automotive industry on customer-oriented road tests. At the beginning still a classic service provider in the field of road endurance testing,

straesser is certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2015 and TISAX. Our company also has an exemption according to § 47 FVZ [German Vehicle Registration Law] and § 70 StVZO [German traffic regulations].
