Road testing electric vehicles with mobile electric vehicle charging
We support our customers to develop new drive systems. During road testing, we test battery electric test vehicles in all regions of the world. With our mobile solution straesser DriveOn, vehicles can be charged rapidly and flexibly no matter where they are. The mobile charging station from strasesser charges electric vehicles even in the most remote regions of the world either by standard or High Power Charging. As its power source, it uses the public power grid, diesel generators, or environmentally friendly hydrogen technology. straesser DriveOn provides the entire charging infrastructure and can be permanently mobile on a trailer.
straesser DriveOn – Mobile Electric Vehicle Charging
- Mobile charging station for battery electric test vehicles at any location
- High Power Charging with DC fast charging system for charging in about 20 minutes
- Full service for e-mobility road trialling and road testing
- Charge electric vehicles and entire fleets of electric test vehicles
- Standard charging through a wallbox in nine hours
- Power generation via public grid, diesel generators, or hydrogen
- Charge test vehicles more simply and cost-effectively on the go anywhere

Measurement technology for vehicle road tests
Within the ATESTEO corporate group, straesser has access to high-quality measurement equipment from the specialists for drivetrain testing.
Vehicle testing on the dynamometer
Besides tests and endurance runs on roads and test tracks, vehicles can also be tested on a dynamometer (roller test bench). Vehicle masses of up to 3,500 kg can be simulated here. Fuel consumption, functional tests, and service life (endurance, durability) tests are conducted on passenger cars and commercial vehicles on the dynamometer.
Vehicle testing on the vehicle acoustic chassis dynamometer
The ATESTEO vehicle acoustic roller test bench is used for measuring vehicle noises. Motorcycles, passenger cars, and commercial vehicles can be tested on this dynamometer with respect to noise emissions from the transmission and drivetrain. The test bench is suitable in accordance with DIN 45635 for sound level measurements of accuracy class 1.
Data on the ATESTEO acoustics dynamometer:
Acoustic test bench | All-purpose test bench | |
---|---|---|
One-axle single-roller diameter (Ø) | 1,909 m | 1,219 m |
Direct current (DC) machine | 300 KW | 150 KW |
Tensile force/Overload | 8 kN / 12 kN | 5.4 kN / 6.12 kN |
Vehicle mass that can be simulated | 500 – 3.500 kg | 450 – 3.000 kg |
Vmax | 250 km/h | 200 km/h |
